Currently EWV (elderwood village) members are requested to vote yes / no on the proposal by the county to
take over the area known as parcel "C" near the entrance sign. They will build a "dry" drainage pond to replace the
small wet pond behind the home at 2026 Elderwood Ct. The area of water collection will be increased
and the hope will be the larger area will help percolate the storm water runoof into the soil and groundwater rather than
collect as a pond . There is a stream running through this area known to the county as Stillwater Creek. This
stream has sustained a brook trout population and the new "dry " drainage pond is intended to help keep silt and runnoff water
out of the stream.
